Organisations that recognise or accredit the Centres of Expertise training programmes

 

The Centres of Expertise run programmes that are recognised, accredited or approved by various professional bodies. The Centres of Expertise recommend that students in training and graduate practitioners join professional bodies.

As we are recognised by the Institute of Health Promotion and Education as a Centre of Expertise, The Institute recognises our courses for continuing professional development of its members. The Institute of Health Promotion and Education, and the International Stress Management Association (UK) recognise successful completion of our Diploma in Stress Management programme as providing eligbility for professional membership. All primary certificate courses provide eligibility for Associate Membership (AMRSH) of the Royal Society for the Promotion of Health.

ASSOCIATION FOR COACHING

The Association for Coaching is a professional membership organisation. It has a Register of Coaches, runs CPD workshops and seminars. It recognises the Centre for Coaching's Certificate in Coaching, and Certificate in Stress Management & Performance Coaching programmes. Successful completion of a Certificate course provides eligibility for Associate Membership of the Association for Coaching. The Centre for Coaching and trhe Centre for Stress Management are Founding Organisational Members. The Association for Coaching recognises the following programmes:

SOCIETY FOR COACHING PSYCHOLOGY

The Society for Coaching Psychology in an international professional body representing coaching psychologists. The International Academy and its Centres have SCP Approved Centre Status. A number of the Centre for Coaching courses are Recognised by the Society for Coaching Psychology as providing CPD/CPE for its Members’. The Society recognises:

ROYAL INSTITUTE OF PUBLIC HEALTH

The Royal Institute for Public Health was established in 1856. In  The UK Centre for Health, Safety, & Wellbeing, and the Centre for Stress Management are both registered RIPH centres and are approved to offer RIPH qualifications programmes in the UK.

The Institute of Health Promotion and Education recognises the Centre for Stress Management courses for continuing professional development of its members. The Centre is a Corporate Member and is recognised by The Institute as a Centre of Expertise. The Centre recommends that students on the stress management programme may benefit from joining the Institute.

ROYAL SOCIETY FOR THE PROMOTION OF HEALTH

The Royal Society of Health recognises successfully completed primary certificate courses as providing eligibility for Associate Membership (AMRSH). Successful completion of the Diploma programme provides eligibility for Membership (MRSH). The Society runs conferences, publishes a journal and newsletter.

 

ASSOCIATION FOR RATIONAL EMOTIVE BEHAVIOUR THERAPY

AREBT is the professional body for Rational-emotive and Rational emotive behaviour therapists, counsellors, coaches and practitioners in the United Kingdom and beyond. Its aims are: 

1. To promote and develop the science of RET/REBT at all levels. 
2. To develop and maintain nationally recognised standards. 
3. To provide information and advice. 

The benefits for membership are professional qualifications, accredited status, a journal, continual professional development and entry on a National Register for RET/REBT therapists and counsellors. AREBT is a member of the UKCP. AREBT approves the REBT programmes at the UK Centre for Rational Emotive Behaviour Therapy & the Centre for Stress Management.
 

THE BRITISH NATIONAL REGISTER OF ADVANCED HYPNOTHERAPISTS

The Centre for Stress Management and Centre for Postgraduate Studies and Research are affiliated to the NRAH. The NRAH holds a Register of Advanced Hypnotherapists. The NRAH is an accrediting member of the United Kingdom Confederation of Hypnotherapy Organisations (UKCHO). The NRAH recognises the courses run by the Centre as being suitable for the CPD of their members.

Membership is open to anyone who has an interest in stress management and is able to demonstrate evidence of the experience and qualifications required for the grade of membership for which they apply. ISMA recognises The Centre for Stress Management, Diploma in Stress Management programme as providing eligibility for professional membership. ISMA is the leading professional body for stress management in the UK. It has branches in many countries. 

BRITISH INSTITUTE FOR LEARNING AND DEVELOPMENT (BILD)

Some Centres are Members of BILD. By our membership we commit to the principles of the BILD Customer Charter, which is available on their website. The BILD recognises the certificate and diploma coaching courses for professional membership of their body at Associate and Member levels respectively.
