Centre for Stress ManagementThe Centre for Stress Management is an international training centre and stress consultancy. It is a Royal Institute of Public Health Registered Centre and is approved to run RIPH qualifications programmes. The Centre offers runs management and prevention programmes, stress audits and research, stress counselling, coaching and training. Course dates and fees for the 2009 programmes are now available. As it was established in 1987, it has become one of the leading providers of stress management training for trainers, health, management, caring and HR professionals in the United Kingdom. Since 1987 it has trained many thousands of health, management and professionals from other fields of work. At the Centre in London it runs short two day courses, modular certificate and diploma programmes in stress management. It offers an a Certificate and Advanced Certificate in Cognitive Behavioural Approaches to Psychotherapy. The external consultancy and training unit offers a range of short courses and longer certificated programes including stress management and cognitive behavioural therapies. In February 2008 the Centre for Stress for Stress Management in association with the UK Centre for Cognitive Behaviour Therapy and the UK Centre for Rational Emotive Behaviour Therapy, launched two new modular 5-day courses: Certificate in Cognitive-behavioural Therapy and the Certificate in Rational Emotive Behavioural Therapy. These CPD programmes are suitable for health professionals who wish to gain skills and knowledge in these approaches. The Centre for Stress Management is recognised as a Centre of Expertise by the Institute of Health Promotion and Education. It is a Member of the British Institute for Learning and Development and a Founder Member of the Association for Coaching. The Director of the Centre is Professor Stephen Palmer PhD. In association with The Centre for Coaching, The Centre also offers executive, business, performance, stress and life coaching.
